The Merry-Hearted Boys

Dedicated to the Dreamers
Everywhere of Every Age
Liam Clancy was a dreamer. He was also down to earth, but with both feet 2rmly planted on a cloud.
Dreaming is not necessarily unproductive or a waste of time. Liam used the time he spent dreaming to build a road map to be followed in dealing with the everyday. His motivation for helping others realize their dreams grew from the wellspring of his imagination, inspired by “dreaming things that never were”, as George Bernard Shaw once wrote.
When Donovan Leitch wrote, “!ank you Liam, we are enriched”, he summed it all up. Liam enriched the lives of every dreamer who ever listened to him.
Sometimes in the heat of the creative process, we almost forget the people who are standing right beside us even when they are far away, making it all possible. !is book would never have seen the light of day without them. My two strongest supporters are:
My wife Peggy and my youngest daughter Erica Amruso.
Naturally, every member of my family assisted me in some manner,   if only by encouraging me, sending me a “care package” or leaving me an occasional sandwich on the front porch.

What Others Are Saying About the "Caroline Books?"

"A wonderful read which enables both adults and children to experience the myriad treasures that life beholds. Like Caroline says in 'Wonderland by Night,' "Life without Wonder? That's like dinner without dessert." Through Caroline eyes, we are able to see and appreciate the beauty and wonder that surrounds us each and every day. The audience learns, laughs, and grows along with her on her fascinating, fun-filled journey. Exploring everything from fishing to religion, the author opens our eyes to a magnificent world of magical castles and golden buildings that can be found right outside our bedroom window. A classic book for all ages!"

Our Favorite is "Caroline's Library"

"As a new father, I enjoy reading children's book for my one-year-old daughter. I received Ron's second book not too long ago - and our favorite poem is "Caroline's Library."

Have you chewed
Any good books lately?
It may not be cool
It may not be stately

But a well-made book
Is a very good chew
I should know
I've chewed quite a few

I have many ac-qui-si-tions
In my Li-brar-ee
They may not be for you
But they're perfect for me

Some folks choose for romance
Some choose for adventure
Some choose for laughter
I "chews" for denture

My latest ac-qui-si-tion
Is truly a treasure
It's "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"
Because it "triples my pleasure"

It's fun to read
It's fun to squeeze
It's only four pages
So I'm done in a breeze

But most important
I'm here to tell you
It's really ... really!
Fun to chew

It is with great pleasure to announce that our second book of Caroline Books series, "The World of Caroline" is available for sale now both on our website and on Amazon.com.

Some of our readers reviewed our book:

"Every Page, every Verse, is a Delight! - A Grandfather's pleasure in his young Granddaughter's own delight in the world she is discovering" - Georganne Chapin, Attorneys for the Rights of the Child
"Ron Leonard describes a child's encounter with starry skies, musical sounds, fishing and doodling. He reminds us not only to take time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life and the uniqueness of each person, but most importantly, to always view the world with the wonder that can only be seen through the eyes of an innocent child" - Marynita Anderson, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Nassau Community College/SUNY
"Ron Leonard does it again! I loved "Wonderland by Night"! Adults often forget these simple things that form lasting Childhood memories. It made me pause and remember sitting on my Grandmother's porch and counting stars and the wonderful, special times we shared." - Carol A. Gleason, MM, RN, CRRN, LRC
"CAROLINE IS SO FUN!" - Jose Rafael "Ralphy" Pimentel - Age 5
"Ron Leonard's book captures the essence of Childhood in his words and the illustrations of Don Berry. A "Must Read" for all generations!" - Anne Llewellyn, Editor-in-Chief of Case In Point, RN-BC, MS, BHSA, CCM, CRRN.
"Ron Leonard's ability to capture the creativity, the warmth, the joy and naiveness of his Grandchild is amazing. Each poem brings out the inner child in all of us and that is what we share with our own Children, Grandchildren and even our Great Grandchildren. This book is a 'Must Have' for Parents and Grandparents" - Catherine M. Kandefer, Ph.D, Executive Coach and Corporate Consultant.
